Junior Set To Retire At End Of 2017

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. – known as “Junior” to his fans – will retire from NASCAR at the conclusion of the 2017 racing season.

Earnhardt, Jr. will be 43 in October and has amassed 26 wins – including a pair of Daytona 500 victories – in 600 races [currently] over the course of 18 seasons.

Earnhardt, Jr. made his first career NASCAR Cup Series start in 1999 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and will race in his final NASCAR Cup Series race on November 19, 2017 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Earnhardt Jr.’s team, Hendrick Motorsports, will announce plans for its 2018 team alignment at a later date.
