This car is obviously going to be lighter than 1600kh (3527pds). And I’m pretty sure any car, if set up properly, can make for a good drift car.

As Keichi Tsuchiya says , if you learn to drift in underpowered car and can do it properly you can than drift anything. Put one of these so-called american drifters in a 150bhp AE86 and just watch and laugh them struggling. I`d love to see Iwai and his 25 year old 350bhp Daihatsu Charmant beating all of these American mussles. As usually the Americans get all wrong….

I believe what he means is that proper drifters do not need 800hp to get the wheels to spin. My sister uses a 200hp Nissan Silva for drift contests. Mind you she has not crashed either!

Good enough to win a championship, to consistently place in the top 5, and to be owned and shipped all the way to Japan by Daigo Saito.

Lol I wouldn’t make that assumption if I were you. That’s Forrest’s car and it has a 2jz good for around 900 hp.

He could also use a higher gear as he has more torque to spin the tires, no need to hear the engine rev.

0:15 “mustangs are a good platform” live rear axle and 1600kg curb weight is not a good platform at all
