Steve McQueen LeMans Biography/Documentary Set for Premiere
The long-awaited documentary “Steve McQueen: The Man & LeMans” is finally set for its premiere. The film, co-directed by Gabriel Clarke and John McKenna, follows the path of McQueen’s quest to complete his pet project – a 1971 feature film entitled “LeMans” about the legendary 24 hour race – at a time when he had already achieved mega-star status in Hollywood after a string of successful films in the 1960s. The film will have archive footage of McQueen [who died in 1980 of cancer] as well as appearances from his son, Chad, and former wife, Neile Adams.
“Steve McQueen: The Man & LeMans” is currently scheduled to make its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, from May 13-24, 2015. No date has yet been determined for its USA premiere – though it is expected to be later in 2015.

The second minor alarm Hitchcockian Planfuck occurs not long after, and it concerns Erwin, the getaway driver, played by Jack Weston (I beg your pardon to digress a moment – was there ever an actor more perfectly cast than Jack Weston is in this role? Answer: No!) He’s got all the pilfered loot in the getaway car (a Ford wagon with wood paneling on the side), heading off to the dropoff point, when, on a narrow street, he gets stuck behind a truck of eggs making a delivery – Minahan The Egg Man.
