Wait a min. Get your facts. The 24 was in position to make the chase via finishing in the 10th spot. The 24never had a chance at the wild card spot since he had no wins. When the 15 spun, the 22 took a wave around to put him only 1 lap down. He was able to pick a 2 positions, which was enough to put the 24 out of the 10th spot and out of the chase. So if no spin, the 24 was in position to make it into the chase via the 10th spot. #just sayin

I agree with you there. Im a gordon fan but he doesnt deserve to be in the chase because he did not perform good at all this year. He still HAD a chance to be in it. Its better he’s not in it because its time for him to start over with his #24 program. he needs to realize that his “wonderful” crew chief isnt all that great and get someone who can keep the car racing good the whole race

He was NEVER in dipshit! He was in a WILDCARD spot you fucking idiot. I actually WATCHED the fucking race. It wasn’t Bowyer who did it, Ty Norris started it. Why don’t you get your head out of your ass. Clint DESERVES to be in the chase. He did well enough to prove that he should be in. Look at the facts before you give me shit for it.

Ummm you do realize the penalties that were just handed out were because of the 15 and 55 helping the 22 gain enough points to take over 10th place and move the 56 into the wildcard. The 22 bumped the 24 out of the chase with those 2 points. You should go back and watch the points display during the race. Before the spin, the 24 was in by +1 point over the 22.

You’re wrong. 24 was never IN the chase, he was in a wildcard spot. The 15 & 55 had nothing to do with the 22. The 22 had help from the 38.

My favorite thing is that when Dale sr via richard childress started a start and park car in Atlanta to assure his 7th championship that was okay by NASCAR

I hate to do it, but I am not watching the chase either. It is not just the cheesy crap from bowyer, it is all the late cautions and obvious tampering with the outcome of nascar racing. I really miss real NASCAR racing.

very odd set of circumstances. Seems similar to what happened at 2008 Singapore GP

I guess because of the contact between them. The leader is supposed to be the first one unless he completely messes up the restart. Ryan would have been the winner without the caution and Kurt would have been the winner if Carl got black flagged.

I wonder if it is possible for Jeff to appeal the penalty and try and get Bowyer out of the Chase.

Even if he was locked in before Richmond, what he did was so bad he shouldn’t even have a chance at the championship

2nd time Gordon has been left out. To all you Gordon haters, i was there at the race and he had a very good race. They all raced hard, but Gordon cut through the field multiple times. It wasn’t cool for Bowyer to spin and Vickers to pit. I’m not going to say who should be out, but I know Gordon should’ve been in.

What about the restart. I thought the rule is the leader of the race is suppose to be the first one across the start finish line. No one seems to care about that. Ryan Newman should have been the winner.

24 was in the chase until the 15 and 55 lost laps to give the 22 a couple extra points.

Everyone saying “Take Bowyer out”, he was locked into the Chase before Richmond, in the top 5 in points (If I’m not mistaken) basically all year. Even docking 50 points from his original total wouldn’t kick him out of the chase, just take his seed down a lot. They can’t put Gordon in either because Ryan Newman was tied with Truex, and therefore went down to the next nearest point total
