10 Kobayashi Caterhams Probably Already Gone

Caterham is struggling to survive the current 2014 Formula One racing season but their #2 driver, Kamui Kobayashi is keeping himself busy by helping to design some Caterham Sevens while not scoring any F1 points for the team. Kobayashi helped design 10 Caterhams Sevens which are for sale in Japan at $58,866 apiece assuming they are not already sold out.

The green-themed single-seater car has a 125 horsepower Ford engine [that does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 122 mph], a six-speed manual, a limited-slip differential, an aluminum tonneau cover over the passenger seat area, 13-inch diamond cut black wheels and a polished chrome exhaust system. For the spartan interior, there is a carbon fiber dashboard (signed by Kobayashi), and anodized green gear knob, a four-point Takata harness and a carbon fiber seat with green contrasting stitching and a Kobayashi logo in the head rest.

Caterham recorded their best finish ever with an 11th-place finish at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix this past weekend – albeit with Marcus Ericcson behind the wheel.
