2015 Australian Grand Prix Minnow Update

In breaking news regarding the anticipated heated battle for last place in the 2015 Formula One season-opening race in Australia, Sauber has lost a court ruling in Melbourne, who sided with Dutch driver Giedo van der Garde when he said Sauber promised him a driver seat on the team until they actively pursued two other pay drivers [Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson] and eventually granted them the seats instead, ostensibly due to the fact that both drivers bring an estimated total of $35 million to the financially strapped team. Sauber will now have to determine who they will start on the grid on Sunday – Ericsson, Nasr, van der Garde or nobody.

Meanwhile, Manor – The Team Formerly Known as Marussia – has selected their second driver, Roberto Merhi, who will be making his Formula One driving debut in Melbourne this weekend.

The 2015 Formula One season begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 15, 2015.
