The 2016 Formula One racing season ended a few days ago with Nico Rosberg claiming his first world championship title for Mercedes – but no sooner did it end when testing for the 2017 got underway.
Pirelli brought in three teams – Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull – with drivers Kimi Raikkonen, Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton, to test their new, wider tires for the upcoming 2017 season, in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Between them, the cars totaled 331 laps on the circuit and used approximately 96 different prototypes of the various tire types.
