An official announcement is expected to come later today from Formula One that the 2020 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne will be cancelled after all – due to the coronavirus.
After initially confirming that the race was going to be held as planned on Saturday evening, it appears there was a change of heart after a member of the McLaren team tested positive for coronavirus.
Also expected in the upcoming announcement from Formula One is a decision on what to do with the remaining races on the early schedule as well as the season itself.
