2021 Australian Grand Prix Cancelled

The 2021 version of the Australian Grand Prix has been cancelled due to travel restrictions in connection to the Covid-19 pandemic – marking the second year in a row the Formula One race has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2021 Australian Grand Prix was originally scheduled for March 14, but was pushed back to November 21 as it appeared the pandemic might be easing off at that point – however, the Delta variant of the coronavirus has prolonged the pandemic worldwide and resulted in continued travel restrictions imposed by the Australian government.

With the Australian Grand Prix now off the calendar, the 2021 Formula 1 season is currently scheduled to end with a race in Saudi Arabia and the season-ending Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.
