2021 Singapore Grand Prix Cancelled Due To Covid-19 Travel Restrictions

The 2021 Singapore Grand Prix – which had been scheduled for October 3 – has been cancelled due to travel restrictions from the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Singapore has successfully managed the pandemic and kept infections low by enforcing strict travel restrictions along with a rigorous test-and-trace system.

Formula One has been offered the option of holding two races at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, make up for the cancellation – with the possibility of the first race being held on October 17 followed by the normal USA Grand Prix on October 24.
