A 69 Ricky Bobby Special Sells At Barrett-Jackson

Some may refer to the 1960s and 1970s as the glory days of NASCAR racing when the cars actually somewhat resembled the cars normal people drove on the actual streets of America rather than the mere shells covering engines on steroids they are now. If that is the case, then the 1969 Ford Talladega sold at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona this week was a return to the glory days. The Presidential Blue ’69 Talladega carried a 428 HP Cobra engine was one of only 750 made for NASCAR racing and sold for $110,000.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction continues through January 20, 2014.
