Adidas and Bugatti have collaborated on a new limited edition football boot – the adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti – with a single caveat: only 99 pairs of the new boots will be produced.
Built to emphasize the style of the Bugatti Chiron and the power of its W16 engine, Adidas makes the X Crazyfast boot utilizing their Speedframe sole plate technology for less weight and more rigidity, Aerocage lining for support and stability and the single-layer Aeropacity Speedskin breathable monomesh for speed and stability. The carbon fiber inlay in the boot’s tooling replicates the carbon fiber used on the car.
Additionally, X Crazyfast’s semi-transparent mono-mesh material has been adapted from the original design to incorporate Bugatti Blue [inspired by the color of early Bugatti Grand Prix cars].
The Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti collection boots are encased in a shoebox featuring an exterior design inspired by weaves of carbon fiber – the lightweight, strong core material making up most Bugatti hyper sports cars.
The 99 pairs will be offered up for auction from November 8-11, 2023, through the Adidas Collect Web 3 platform with all winners receiving an exclusive digital shoebox which can be redeemed from November 13, 2023 onwards, via Adidas Collect for the complementary physical pair and digital twin. Auction users have both cryptocurrency and traditional currency [MoonPay] options.
The boots are due to be unveiled on pitch for the first time exclusively by Rafael Leao and Karim Benzema in November 2023.
