Alexander Albon Will Race For Williams At 2022 Singapore Grand Prix

Williams announced that Alexander Albon will race in this weekend’s 2022 Singapore Grand Prix after missing the 2022 Italian Grand Prix due to a bout of appendicitis.

The 26-year-old Thai not only endured appendicitis but then had to spend a night in intensive care earlier this month after suffering respiratory failure due to post-operative anesthetic complications.

Williams reserve driver Nyck de Vries replaced Albon in the 2022 Italian Grand Prix and went on to finish an impressive ninth in his Formula One debut.

Albon currently resides in 19th place in the 2022 Formula 1 drivers’ championship with four points, while De Vries now has two points and Nicholas Latifi, who will be jettisoned by Williams at the end of the season, has yet to score a point in 2022.
