Honda-McLaren’s Fernando Alonso has been pulled from the 2015 Formula One season-opening race in Australia next week due to his continuing recovery from a concussion suffered in a crash during a testing session in Barcelona, Spain, last week. Doctors had advised Alonso be held out of the race and Honda-McLaren complied with the advice. Kevin Magnussen will take over for Alonso.
