Representing Formula One racing, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel made the top 20 of Forbes list of the 100 highest paid athletes in the world in 2017. McLaren’s Fernando Alonso also made the list at the #39 spot with $33 million [of which, one million came in endorsements].
Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel were the only auto racing athletes in the list.
