Still not happy about losing the Falkland Islands to England in a brief 1982 skirmish, Argentina protesters were in no mood to joke around when a Porsche 928 the “Top Gear” team was using for filming the “Argentina Special” just happened to have a license plate that read H982 FKL – which protesters took to mean was a thinly-veiled reference to the 1982 conflict. Protesters pelted the Porsche with rocks – as well as other cars in the Top Gear entourage – forcing the entire crew to flee and end filming of the episode three days earlier than originally planned.
Series 22 of Top Gear is expected to begin airing on BBC America in January 2015.
