Shortly after Renault filed for divorce from Red Bull and, possibly, Formula One, from the 2016 season onward, Red Bull is being rumored to be hopping into bed with Audi/Volkswagen – but not before Red Bull has a brief fling with Ferrari in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. According to the rumors, Red Bull will be separating from their current F1 engine supplier, Renault, at the end of this season, then have Ferrari supply their engines for the 2016-17 seasons.
Audi/Volkswagen would then purchase the Red Bull F1 team as their entry for th e2018 season.
