Although Series 22 of “Top Gear” has temporarily ended for the year due to presenter Jeremy Clarkson’s “fracas” with a show producer, BBC America has decided to replace what was supposed to be the next episode in the series next week with a two-part Italy road trip special that will be making its USA debut. Being a two-parter, the special will take the place of two of the three missing Series 22 episodes with scheduled air dates of March 16 and March 23. The solution for the date of what would have been the final episode – March 30 – has yet to be determined for BBC America.
Next week’s episode of “Top Gear”, which was slated to include English footballer, Gary Lineker, as the guest in the Reasonably Priced Car, had already been postponed and there have been no plans announced by the BBC to show any of the episodes at later dates.
