Bernie Ecclestone Is No Longer In Charge Of Formula One

on

Liberty Media, new owners of Formula One, have officially granted the longtime wishes of any genuine F1 racing fan and officially canned crusty barnacle and former – that’s right, former – F1 chief, Bernie Ecclestone and replaced him with Chase Carey as the new F1 chairman.

Technically, Liberty forced Ecclestone to resign and Bernie was none too happy about it, saying “I was deposed today. Just go away. This is official. I do not run the company anymore.”

Carey will fulfill the duties of both the chairman and CEO while Ecclestone will be given the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus.
