Brad Pitt Halts Production On F1 Film In Support Of Ongoing Strike

Brad Pitt has paused production on “Apex” – his upcoming Formula One feature film – in a show of support for the combined WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike.

Filming of “Apex” had been ongoing in Budapest [in collaboration with the recently completed 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix] but a postponed planned production over the next two months has been postponed while the writers and actors’ unions battle with the studios.

There had been a plan for more film production in association with this weekend’s most recently completed grand prix – the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix at The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – but those were postponed. The next planned film production dates are for Las Vegas and the inaugural 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix in November.

Pitt is starring in the film as well as producing, with seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton also onboard as an executive producer.
