The Canadian Grand Prix is officially on for 2017 – as Formula One avoids the potential loss of a third race from their calendar after the departure of Malaysia from the 2018 calendar and Singapore on the verge of departing the 2018 calendar as well.
However, the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal had a scheduled track revamp planned for the 2017 race – but that modification will not take place in time for the 2017 race – and will, instead likely be completed in 2019.
Tickets for the Canadian Grand Prix will go on sale on November 24, 2016.
