Carlos Sainz, Jr. Claims Pole Position For 2023 Italian Grand Prix

Ferrari continued their success in the weekend as Carlos Sainz, Jr. claimed pole position for tomorrow’s 2023 Italian Grand Prix.

After nipping Red Bull’s Max Verstappen earlier in the day in the third and final practice session, Sainz, Jr. did it again in the qualifying session and that pair will make up the first row in tomorrow’s race.

Sainz, Jr.’s Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc, will be in the third row alongside Mercedes’ George Russell while Red Bull’s Sergio Perez will share the third row with Williams’ upstart, Alexander Albon.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri starts in the fourth row with seven-time Formula One world champion, Lewis Hamilton and Piastri’s McLaren teammate, Lando Norris is alongside Aston martin’s Fernando Alonso to close out the top 10 in the fifth row.
