The Team Formerly Known as Caterham had their facility in Leafield, England, placed on the auction block this week. The Formula One racing team which failed to score a single point in five seasons of racing and struggled through the 2014 season [requiring a crowdfunding scheme to even race in the 2014 finale at Abu Dhabi] has already sold off most of its equipment to appease creditors and now must sell off their UK factory as the final straw.
The former Caterham F1 factory is expected to begin at the auction price of $8.5 million.
