Caterham In More Hot Water

As if it wasn’t bad enough for Caterham to be continually finishing in last or near-last place in virtually all the Formula One races so far this season or to have its company headquarters raided by police last month prior to the Japanese Grand Prix, it just got even worse for the struggling F1 team which is unlikely to see the light of day in 2015. Over the summer, former Caterham team owner Tony Fernandes supposedly sold the team to a mystery Middle East-connected contingent named Engavest – but it turns out Fernandes has not relinquished full control of the team due to the fact that Engavest has not yet actually paid him the agreed-upon sale amount and that has led to situations where Caterham has to scrounge for basic operational amenities such as parts for their cars and food for their crews – leaving the status of the team for the remaining races up in the air.

The next race in the Formula One circuit is the United States Grand Prix in Austin on November 2, 2014.
