Caterham On The Block

Mercedes’ dominance in the Formula One racing has claimed its first victim in the 2014 season as Caterham is reportedly up for sale for $589 million after team owner Tony Fernandes has called it quits. Fernandes, who also owns the Queens Park Rangers English soccer club which just advanced to the Premier League last week [gaining Fernandes a $135 million windfall], purchased the team in 2010 but has yet to see a single point in four years as first, Red Bull and now Mercedes, has dominated the sport during that time span.

Marcus Ericcson recorded Caterham’s best finish ever with an 11th-place finish at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix this past weekend.
