Charles Leclerc Grabs Pole Position For 2022 French Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc grabbed pole position – with an assist from his Ferrari teammate, Carlos Sainz, Jr. in qualifying – for tomorrow’s 2022 French Grand Prix. Leclerc will sit on pole thanks to drafting behind Sainz, Jr. to allow him to get the fastest qualifying time as Sainz, Jr. is starting at the back of the field for tomorrow’s race due to penalties incurred for taking an extra engine and additional parts after his engine caught on fire at the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix.
