Charles Leclerc repeated his pole position performance of yesterday, taking the pole position for the sprint race shootout at the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
There was only a minor change in the order of the Top 10 drivers behind Leclerc as the two Red Bull drivers switched positions, with Sergio Perez in second and Max Verstappen in third, but behind that group there was some new additions as Mercedes’ George Russell vaulted into the top 10 to finish fourth ahead of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Jr. and his Mercedes teammate, seven-time Formula One world champion, Lewis Hamilton – with all those drivers within a second of Leclerc at the top.
