Clarkson, Hammond And May Form DriveTribe, Get Money

Former “Top Gear” presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have co-created an automotive enthusiast website called DriveTribe which has just received an investment of $6.5 million from 20th Century Fox in addition to $5.5 million from a pair of high profile investors.

“DriveTribe” is reported that it will eventually consist of various “tribes” of automotive enthusiasts with Clarkson’s tribe called “Alfa Male,” Hammond’s tribe being called “Hammond’s Fob Jockeys” and Captain Slow’s tribe called “James May’s Carbolics.” Others have proposed tribal leaders and names – but Clarkson’s Hammond’s and May’s are the only ones you really care about.

Former “Top Gear” producer Andy Wilman and UK-based tech entrepreneur Ernesto Schmitt are also co-creators of the website.
