Czechs Turn Ferrari 458 Italia Into Police Car

on

Czech Republic police seized a Ferrari 458 Italia from criminals and then did the only sensible thing police can do with seized Ferraris – turned it into an official police car.

The 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia was initially the standard Ferrari racing red, but Czech Republic re-painted it with official yellow and blue reflective stripes and added a panel of lights as they say the newly repurposed Ferrari will be used to chase stolen cars and stop illegal road racing.

The Czech Republic police department spent $12,350 to modify the Ferrari 458 and said that the vehicle will be used by a special surveillance department and driven only by trained police officers.

Czech Republic now joins Italy and Dubai in converting some sports cars into police cars.
