While testing a new fuel system for the upcoming high-altitude Mexican Grand Prix later this month and not wanting to waste any time waiting around until the actual race to see what their latest poor performance will be, Renault’s car driven by Kevin Magnussen, went ahead and caught itself on fire in practice.
Magnussen was okay and Renault blamed a faulty valve on a fuel breather line for the blaze.
