Speculation has been rampant over the last few days after Tesla founder Elon Musk tweeted a mysterious message on Twitter last week hinting at something “big” that would be introduced the following week. The day of the announcement is at hand but Musk won’t be saying anything until tonight about what that “big” thing could be.
That won’t stop speculation though as most of it seems to focus on the possibility that the announcement could be a Model S P85D dual motor all-wheel drive supercar that could achieve 0-60 miles per hour in under three seconds – putting it well within supercar categories for that kind of speed. Additionally, Musk is expected to announce an autonomous driving vehicle, program or timetable for such a vehicle.
