The Alpine Formula One team has signed up Esteban Ocon to three more years.
The 24-year-old Ocon joined Renault [since renamed Alpine] in 2020, after a two-year stint with Force India [since renamed Racing Point and, now, Aston Martin].
The Frenchman has 73 F1 race starts but no wins and only one podium finish -a second place showing in last year’s Sakhir Grand Prix.
Ocon races alongside former F1 world champion Fernando Alonso for Alpine – and currently sits in 12th place in the driver standings with 12 points in the 2021 season.
