Volkswagen used a blind guy to sell their new 2018 Volkswagen Arteon – specifically, blind visual artist Pete Eckert, who was sighted for approximately half his life.
The 59-year-old Eckert, from Portland, Oregon, was well on his way to being a full-fledged sighted architect when retinitis pigmentosa intervened at age 28 and deprived him of sight – but not his ability to see.
