Felipe Massa Fastest On Day Three In Bahrain

The third day of the second testing session at the Sakhir track in Bahrain was completed and Williams’ Felipe Massa finally broke the chokehold Force India’s Sergio Perez had on the session for the last two days. Massa not only recorded the fastest time of the day but also of the session with a 1:33.26. Meanwhile, the defending champion Red Bull team appeared to be progressing yesterday but then fell back into the bottomless pit of despair on Day Three as a battery plus another undisclosed issue prevented Sebastian Vettel from even recording a single lap on the Sakhir track. The team has the fewest practice laps in the testing sessions of any team so far with only a single day of test sessions remaining before the initial Grand Prix weekend of the season.

Sebastian Vettel walks back to the garage after the RB10 failed to complete a single lap.

The 2014 Formula One racing season begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16, 2014.
