Fernandes Officially Bails On Caterham

In what seemed like the inevitable move, Caterham team owner, Tony Fernandes, has sold the Formula One racing team to a consortium of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors who will have former Dutch F1 driver Christijan Albers running the team while former F1 team owner Collin Kalles will act in an advisory role.

Drivers Marcus Ericsson and Kamui Kobayashi currently sit in 18th and 22nd place, respectively in the drivers’ standings while Caterham is in 11th place in the team standings and one of two teams [Sauber being the other] which have yet to score a point in 2014. Caterham has gone nearly five years without scoring a single point in Formula One races.
