Ferrari And Leclerc Top First Two Practice Sessions For 2019 Belgian Grand Prix

The first two practice sessions for the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix are in the books and Ferrari – led by Charles Leclerc – are sitting on top of the time tables for both sessions.

Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time in the first practice session for Ferrari and Leclerc followed that up with the fastest time in the second practice session as Ferrari went one-two in that session.

Third and fourth-fastest slots were held down by the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and his teammate and F1 championship leader Lewis Hamilton – but both were well off the pace of the Ferraris, nearly a full second behind, with both Ferraris going faster in the straighter sections while the Mercedes goes faster in the cornered sections.

The only other realistic podium contender – Red Bull’s Max Verstappen – was even further behind, only sixth-fastest.
