Ferrari was fastest again in the second practice session for this weekend’s 2022 USA Grand Prix, with Charles Leclerc doing the honors. The practice session was extended 30 minutes so all the teams could test out new Pirelli tires intended for the 2023 season. The tire test had been scheduled for the 2022 Japanese Grand Prix but the rain and wet conditions for that grand prix meant the test was shifted to the USA Grand Prix.
