Ferrari Fastest In Second Practice Session For 2021 Monaco Grand Prix

It is revolving chairs at the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix as Ferrari were fastest in the second practice session after Red Bull had been fastest in the first practice session for this weekend’s race.

This time it was Charles Leclerc who led a surprise Ferrari one-two in FP2 – with Leclerc edging teammate Carlos Sainz, Jr. by a mere 0.112 seconds.

Seven-time defending Formula One world champion, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, was third-fastest after making a slight error at a chicane that cost him nearly half a second.

Whereas multiple drivers were skimming walls and making slight errors at chicanes in the first session, that was elevated to full-on crashes in the second session. Alpha Tauri’s rookie Yuki Tsunoda crashed at the swimming pool section of the famed course while Haas’ rookie, Mick Schumacher, then caused an early end to the session when he crashed at the top of the hill just before Casino Square.
