Ferrari, McLaren And Williams Have Active Month In Formula One Off-Season

The 2022 Formula One season only concluded a month ago and already Ferrari, McLaren and Williams have had massive activity within their teams.

Ferrari began the parade of activity with team principal Mattia Binotto departing and now being replaced by Frederic Vasseur from Alfa Romeo/Sauber, which used Ferrari engines in 2022.

That created a small domino effect as McLaren also lost their team principal, Andreas Seidl, who will be replacing Vasseur and will become the principal of Audi when they begin their Formula One efforts in 2026. Alfa Romeo is aligned with Sauber for the 2023 Formula 1 season and will race under the dual name in 2023 before changing to a Sauber name for the 2024 and 2025 seasons – all of those seasons will be using Ferrari engines. Seidl will be replaced by McLaren’s executive racing director, Andrea Stella.

Williams also lost their team principal Jost Capito [as well as their technical director, Francois Xavier-Demaison], who resigned with a replacement yet to be announced by the team for either position.
