Ferrari Unveils 499P Hypercar For 2023 LeMans

Ferrari has unveiled their new 499P Hypercar for next year’s Le Mans 24 Hours race and World Endurance Championship [WEC].

Ferrari’s 499P will join Cadillac, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota in a new 2023 LMH class that will comprise of mostly hybrid powered cars. The seven-race World Endurance Championship series has recently introduced a renewable bio-fuel, 65% of which is made from renewable sources.

Ferrari’s 499P – classified as LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) – will be four-wheel drive, with a twin-turbo-charged V6 engine and an electric power unit delivering 500kW of power.

The next big question – who will drive the 499P? – is not yet known and has yet to be announced by Ferrari.
