Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc Claims Pole Position For 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc beat Red Bull’s Max Verstappen – by 0.123 seconds – to claim pole position for the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Jr. claimed third, just 0.129 seconds off pole.

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was fourth while seven-time F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton, was fifth for Mercedes – however, a whopping 0.680 seconds off the pole time.

Hamilton’s former Mercedes teammate, Valtteri Bottas, was sixth in his first race for the Alfa Romeo team, with Haas’ Kevin Magnussen in a surprising seventh.

Alpine’s Fernando Alonso was eighth ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell, with Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly taking the final place in the top 10.
