Fog continued to wreak havoc with the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix as it was the reason that the second practice session was cancelled as the weather precluded the medical helicopter from flying and Formula One rules dictate that the road journey to a suitable hospital must be no longer than 20 minutes away but they are farther than that from Germany’s famed Nurburgring circuit.
The teams will now have one practice session on Saturday before qualifying.
Meanwhile, Mercedes had another team member test positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus and isolated four others. Mercedes is using replacement personnel for the six team members at the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix this weekend.
