Formula One team Force India has cut a deal with a consortium of investors led by Lawrence Stroll – father of Williams’ driver Lance Stroll – that will save both the team after former director Vijay Mallya had resigned and the team was put into administration when driver Sergio Perez decided to take the legal action last month in an attempt to protect the 405 jobs associated with the team.
The Canadian billionaire Stroll has made his fortune by investing in fashionwear from designers Pierre Cardin, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.
