“Ford v. Ferrari”, a feature film detailing the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans battle between the two car companies has received a release date of November 15, 2019 from Disney [after their acquisition of Fox].
The film is directed by James Mangold [who most recently directed 2017’s X-Men final chapter “Logan”] and stars Christian Bale as Ford driver Ken Miles, Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Jon Bernthal [“Baby Driver”] as Lee Iacocca.
The 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans famously pits the dominating Ferrari against the upstart Ford culminating in the first overall win at Le Mans for the iconic Ford GT40.
