Formula E is introducing a “sonic identity” – a unique sound for each of the new Gen3 cars – this season. The new soundtrack has been released as a seven-track album, “Change. Accelerated (The Official Formula E Soundtrack)” and is available on streaming platforms.
The sonic identities debuted last month at the 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix and is inspired by the power of electric acceleration.
The sonic identities used recorded audio of the race cars being pushed to the limit prior to their debut in the Mexico City E-Prix and then were recorded live with a 55-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London.
The accompanying video features ABB FIA Formula E World Championship including defending champion Stoffel Vandoorne as well as Mitch Evans and Jake Dennis.
