Formula One At Circuit Of The Americas Might Actually Be Fun Fun Fun In 2017

The 2017 United States Grand Prix held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, might actually be worth attending that weekend as it was reported that the popular Austin music festival Fun Fun Fun Fest was cancelled for 2016 and will reboot in 2017 on Halloween weekend – typically the time when the USGP is held at COTA.

The exact dates for the 2017 USGP have yet to be announced by the FiA [Formula 1’s scheduling parent organization] but the music festival is typically held in the first week of November and the new owner of the festival’s organization would like to move the festival to the F1 race’s weekend – to possibly be in cahoots with the racing shindiggery.

An announcement of any potential partnership is expected before the end of the year.

Last year’s FFF Fest boasted a lineup that included such non-Taylor Swift musical luminaries as Jane’s Addiction, Cheap Trick and Wu-Tang Clan as well as a variety of other musical and comedy acts [including comedian Gad Elmaleh, who has made a previous appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s popular “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” web series].
