A Formula One racing series that would showcase former Formula One drivers is possibly in the works. Current Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone applied in February 2014 to protect the name “Historic Formula One” which has led to speculation that a racing series featuring former F1 stars driving former F1 cars is in the offing.
However, any Formula One racing series for geezers will have to be put on the back burner as Ecclestone is currently preparing to fight bribery charges in Germany and the trial is expected to last into the summer.
