Current Formula One chief, Bernie Ecclestone – when he isn’t busy fighting off bribery charges or evading taxes – has signed an agreement to bring a Formula One Grand Prix race to Baku, Azerbaijan in 2016. Despite the race being nowhere near Europe proper, the race will be called the European Grand Prix.
The Formula One Grand Prix circuit currently has 19 stages but additional stages may be added in the coming years.
