Formula One Great Sir Stirling Moss Dies At Age 90

Legendary British Formula one driver Sir Stirling Moss has passed away at the age of 90.

Although Moss was always a groomsman and never a groom and never won a Formula 1 world championship, he is generally regarded as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Moss was runner-up in the F1 drivers’ championship four times during his career and won 16 of the 66 F1 races he competed in from 1951 to 1961.

Along with his F1 career, Moss amassed a total of 212 victories in all racing categories, including winning the famous Mille Miglia – a 1,000-mile race around Italy – in 1955, in a then-new course record.

Moss was knighted in 2000, gaining the title of Sir.
