Formula One Hires New Head Of Original Content

Formula One has hired Isabelle Stewart as the head of original content at the motor racing organization.

The UK-based Stewart is a former executive at Universal [2011-16] and most recently was the director of content at Audible. Formula 1’s newly created role will have Stewart in charge of expanding F1’s content production and creating new relationships and partnerships with creators.

Stewart’s appointment comes as Apple Studios acquired director Joseph Kosinski’s [“Top Gun: Maverick”] Formula One racing film, starring Brad Pitt as a driver who comes out of retirement to compete alongside a rookie against the titans of his sport. The as-yet-untitled film will be co-produced by seven-time Formula One world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Additionally, Netflix has renewed their popular docuseries “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” for a fifth and sixth season.
